Travel Trailers for Sale
We don't sell this from a lot. RVBrokers is a buyer's agent, so we help you find, price, and negotiate this model wherever it is, and line up an inspection before you pay.
Travel trailers are the most popular RVs in America, and it's not close — the widest range of sizes and prices of anything on the market, no engine to buy or service, and the freedom to unhitch and explore once you reach camp. Here's how to match one to your tow vehicle and buy it right.
What is a travel trailer?
A travel trailer is a towable RV that hitches to a ball mount on the back of your truck or SUV — the classic "bumper-pull" setup. It's the broadest category in all of RVing: it runs from a 12-foot teardrop you can pull with a crossover, through the 25-to-30-foot family bunkhouses that dominate campgrounds, all the way up to 35-plus-foot units with multiple slide-outs that rival a small apartment. If you can picture an RV, odds are someone builds it as a travel trailer.
The appeal is simple: you get the most camper for your money. There's no drivetrain to maintain, no motorhome chassis to insure, and when you arrive you drop the trailer at your site and keep your vehicle free to run to town, hit a trailhead, or go to dinner. That flexibility — plus a starting price far below any motorhome — is why travel trailers outsell every other RV type combined. The trade versus a fifth wheel is towing feel and interior layout: a bumper-pull sits lower and flatter and can wander more in crosswinds, but it doesn't eat your pickup bed and it tows behind a much wider range of vehicles.
The one thing that bites travel-trailer buyers is weight. The dry weight on the brochure is not the loaded weight you'll actually tow, and getting the trailer-to-tow-vehicle match wrong is both unsafe and expensive. The right hitch with weight distribution and sway control matters as much as the truck itself. Get those right and a travel trailer delivers more space and value per dollar than anything else you can buy — which is exactly the math we run with you before you commit.
Why buyers choose Travel Trailers — and what to watch
What buyers love
- The lowest cost of entry in RVing, with the widest selection of any RV type.
- No engine to buy, service, or insure — towables are cheaper to own over time.
- Unhitch at camp and keep your truck or SUV free to explore.
- Tows behind a far wider range of vehicles than a fifth wheel — no pickup bed required.
What to watch
- You need a tow vehicle and hitch rated for the loaded weight, not the brochure's dry weight.
- Bumper-pull trailers can sway in wind and from passing trucks without proper weight distribution.
- Backing and setup take practice — more hands-on than parking a motorhome.
- Roof and seam leaks, soft floors, and delamination are the used-trailer killers to inspect for.
A travel trailer is the right call if you want the most space per dollar, already own (or will buy) a capable truck or SUV, and like the idea of dropping the trailer at camp and keeping a normal vehicle to drive around in.

Whether you're buying or selling a travel trailer, we sit on your side of the table. Our buyer's agent service finds the right one and negotiates the price down; our RV broker service sells the one you already own for the real retail number it's worth — not the wholesale figure a dealer offers on trade. Every used coach gets an independent inspection before money moves, and our mobile repair network keeps it running afterward. We never take your RV in on trade or sell one off a lot — we're paid to get you a good deal, not to move inventory.
