The lower-profile entertainer and compact-feel shell — same legendary chassis, different stance.
The X3-45 is Prevost's other current shell, and it is the one the touring world knows best. Introduced in 2006 as the modern successor to the XL and XLII, it shares the H3-45's running gear — the same Volvo D13 diesel, Allison automatic, and stainless-steel monocoque build — but rides lower, with a flat-floor profile rather than the H3-45's raised floor. That lower stance and its long history as the entertainer-coach standard (the bus that hauls touring bands and their gear) make it a favorite for converters building entertainer interiors and for buyers who want the Prevost drive in a slightly less towering package. As with every Prevost, the honest framing holds: Prevost builds this shell to one spec, and the interior, slides, price, and quality come from the converter — Marathon, Liberty, Featherlite, Emerald, or Millennium. The chassis is the constant; the coach is the converter's.
You're in the right place. We don't sell the X3-45 off a lot — we work for you, find the cleanest one on the market new or used, inspect it, and negotiate it. Below is everything you need to know before you shop: the real specs, every floor plan, the photos, what it tends to sell for, and a straight read on what owners love and what they grumble about.
Specs reflect the 2026 model year and can vary by floor plan and options.
