The Embark is Jayco's diesel-pusher Class A, marketed as one of the more accessible ways into a true diesel coach. It rides on a Spartan K1 raised-rail chassis with a rear-mounted Cummins B6.7 turbo-diesel (360 hp, 800 lb-ft) and an Allison six-speed automatic, with independent front suspension and Bilstein monotube shocks for a composed highway ride. Floor plans — the 37K, 39BH, and 39T2 — run roughly 38 to 40 feet and sleep up to seven, including a rare bunk layout for a diesel pusher. Jayco loads it with the gear diesel buyers expect: hydraulic auto-leveling, three roof A/C units with heat pumps, an Onan 8,000W diesel generator, dual 200W solar panels, a 12.3-inch digital dash with a 360-degree camera system, and hand-laid porcelain tile, all under the 2-year warranty. The rear diesel delivers the torque, quiet cabin, and grade-climbing ability a front gas V8 can't match. The trade-offs are real: it is far more expensive to buy and service than the gas Precept, diesel-pusher service is specialized, and as a lower-volume coach the used pool is thinner — and Jayco's familiar post-sale support caveats still apply. For buyers who want diesel-pusher capability without top-tier-brand pricing, though, the Embark is a credible value.
